Founded by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, Stonehenge Classics Ltd, (formerly The Motor Garage and then Charles Russell Classic Cars LLP) has grown over the last decade to become one of the leading specialists in the region.
We operate from a spacious modern workshop near the A303, a stone’s throw from Stonehenge and fully fitted out for all your classic’s requirements. We are a small team of dedicated technicians with decades of experience who work exclusively on classic cars (within the widest definition of that term). It is that core team of technicians who recently formed Stonehenge Classics Ltd and have now taken over from the founding owners, James and Gerald Russell.
We have extensive experience on all types and makes of classic cars from veteran vehicles to modern and future classics. Pop into our workshops and you will find a diverse range of vehicles being attended to, as our wall of fame attests. It is not every day that you see a Golf GTI rubbing shoulders with as a 1931 Morris Cowley!
We are classic-mad engineers who prefer to fix and repair than to replace. Save for machining work, we carry out all engine, gearbox and drive-train work in-house. We are experienced in metalwork and fabrication and can conduct chassis-up restorations. Paintwork is outsourced as appropriate.
The team has brought countless old cars back to life over the years, some had not turned a wheel for decades. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a delighted owner reunited with an old friend which has been restored to its former glory.
We work to your budget and ensure good communication avoids the horror stories people can experience on restoration projects. We will do whatever we reasonably can to play a part in bringing your pride and joy back to life or keeping it on the road.
From an annual service to a ground-up restoration, if you have a classic need, we are certain we can help!
